Refactor template into a pure API example

This boilerplate contains a great deal of infrastructure to support webapps with embedded React/TypeScript UIs. It also assumes use of social sign in for auth.

None of this is required for API Gateway-hosted API applications.

Rather than typing to force this boilerplate to serve two roles, pick out the best bits into a separate API-focusses boilerplate.
