Resolve "Add an endpoint that gets a new reset token for the authenticated user"

This is going to need a simultaneous change in deployment (to add new required settings). Do we merge this let renovate create the deploy MR then modify that?

My vote would be create the infra MR first to add the settings, then merge this, as that keeps the main branch always-deployable?

I think externalsettings.load_external_settings will complain if it the external settings file has more settings that it is expecting (from required and optional settings) - https://gitlab.developers.cam.ac.uk/uis/devops/django/externalsettings/-/blob/master/externalsettings/loader.py?ref_type=heads#L131

But if I get the infra MR ready first anyway then we'll be ready to go.

Could we raise a maintenance ticket to change that? I don't see any practical reason why the externalsettings library should error out if it finds unrecognised settings. But yes, agree with that approach.

There should at least be an option to tell it to ignore them (default could be same behaviour as now).
