Enable IPv6 access for git clone

I set up a cluster on AWS, with the only public IP address being IPv6 (as AWS charge for IPv4 public addresses), and I was unable to clone any repos. The error message is: fatal: unable to access 'https://gitlab.developers.cam.ac.uk/phy/ra/vla22-phd/dasksf.git/': Failed to connect to gitlab.developers.cam.ac.uk port 443 after 132957 ms: Couldn't connect to server

Is it possible to enable access from IPv6 addresses?

Kind regards, Verity
