Adding and external collaborator to Credo Project

There is currently a bug in Gitlab preventing unprivileged users from marking issues as confidential. If you wish to post confidential data, please create an issue without the data and ask for it to be made confidential. Subsequently, the confidential data can be posted.

I need to add an external collaborator to the Credo project: https://gitlab.developers.cam.ac.uk/cdbb/credo STFC have worked with us on this project to create the collateral we wish to share on this GitLab, he will be transferring our Cambridge owned assets from STFC to Cambridge. I Have looked at the add an external user pages, but the link there 'add new user' page: https://gitlab.developers.cam.ac.uk/uis/devops/devhub/docs/-/wikis/process/External-Collaborators gives me a 404 error.

That page is for UIS staff on how to add the external account (you also tried to view the Google Drive document as your gmail.com account not your cam.ac.uk which is why you got the 404).

Yep, we restrict creation of external accounts. The FAQ says you need to raise an issue with name and email of the external user (this issue will be treated as that).

Does my issue above with Ben's name and email count as raising the issue with his name and email?

We also need to give Maintainer access to William Daubney at CPC, his email is william.daubney@cp.catapult.org.uk
